How Pumperps works
Every coin launched on Pumperps is an ordinary pump.fun coin. The creator fees it earns are collected and used to open a leveraged position on Hyperliquid, in a market the creator picks when the coin is launched. The board shows each position with its profit or loss as the price moves.
What the creator picks at launch
The creator chooses a market (for example SOL, BTC or ETH), a side (long or short) and a leverage. These three settings are fixed for the life of the coin. The highest leverage on each market is set by Hyperliquid. These are the busiest markets; the launch page lists all of them:
| Market | Highest leverage |
|---|
Where the fees go
The coin is created with pump.fun's fee sharing turned on, with the Pumperps keeper as the only recipient and the admin rights given up in the same transaction. Nobody can change where the fees go after that. Each coin keeps its own fee vault, so the fees of one coin are never mixed with another's.
When a position opens
The keeper collects the coin's fees into a pot. When the pot is worth $50, the SOL is sent to the coin's own Hyperliquid account through Hyperunit, sold for USDC and used as collateral for one market order on the creator's market, side and leverage. Every following $50 is added to the open position.
Each coin has its own Hyperliquid account, so two coins never share margin and a liquidation on one coin does not affect any other. The account address is shown on the coin's page.
The position stays open
Pumperps does not take profit. The position stays open for as long as the coin exists, and every new $50 of fees is added to it, so it grows with the trading in the coin. The profit or loss on the card is the open result of the position at the current price.
When a position is liquidated
If the price moves against the position far enough, Hyperliquid liquidates it and the collateral is lost. At 40× that takes a move of about 1.25 percent, at 20× about 2.5 percent and at 10× about 5 percent. The keeper records the loss, the pot starts from zero and the next position takes the opposite side.
How the profit and loss is calculated
The figure on each card is the change in the market price since the entry, multiplied by the leverage and the collateral, with the sign of the side. Prices come straight from Hyperliquid and update several times a second. Trading fees and funding are paid out of the collateral, so the final result is slightly lower than the figure shown.
